Responsibilities

  • Sets the standard for excellent, professional customer service
  • Manages deli department operations, including scheduling, gross profit, productivity, budgeting, inventory, and reporting
  • Develops and provides leadership and direction for department staff
  • Continues to develop deli product knowledge, both in specialty foods and prepared foods
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met, and protects the health and safety of all department members

 

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
  • Successful experience in managing high-volume food service including background and knowledge in prepared and specialty foods
  • Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in production cooking and recipe development preferred
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office products and file management Schedule writing experience required
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
