HBC Department Coordinator

Full Time, 40 hours/week
$24.40+/hour, depending on experience


  • Models and provides excellent, professional customer service
  • Oversees the HBC department operations and management including scheduling, gross profit, productivity, budgeting, inventory, shrink control, and reporting
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates all HBC department staff
  • Oversees the ordering, receiving, stocking and merchandising of all HBC products. Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met according to merchandiser guidelines
  • Protects the health and safety of all department members, ensures department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met
  • Participates as a member of the store operating committee (SOC) with creative, solution oriented approach to problem solving and change
  • Maintains vendor information


  • Proven ability to model and inspire excellent, professional customer service
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Extensive experience working in retail HBC operations required
  • Extensive background and in-depth knowledge of natural health and beauty products (ingredients, compounds, etc)
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Must know how to receive DMA
  • Proven ordering and inventory management skills 
  • Demonstrated short and long term organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent leadership, teambuilding, problem solving and communication skills
  • Computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office products and file management
  • Track sales/purchases and review purchases weekly
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
