• Commissary Person in Charge

  • Responsibilities

    • Provides excellent, professional customer service to internal and external customers
    • Utilizes expertise while preparing items in accordance with PCC recipes, including bakery and savory items
    • Responsible for quality control to insure consistently high quality product, including overseeing use of the ovens
    • Solves problems effectively and works well as part of a team
    • Leads, directs and trains Commissary staff while keeping everyone on task
    • Ensures that Commissary orders are ready for pick up on time and that no product is misplaced
    • Shuts down the department at the end of the night, including turning off machines and making sure that freezer and refrigerator doors are closed
    • Oversees staff and provides leadership for department in absence of manager
    • Sets example for department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards
    • Provides support and assistance to managers in all aspects of the job
    • Oversees maintenance of equipment
    • Other related duties as needed or required

    Qualifications

    • Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
    • Available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends – schedule may change during the holiday season
    • Production experience is preferred and a familiarity with specialty and prepared foods including bakery and deli production
    • Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending twisting, repetitive motion and lifting between 10 and 40 LBS regularly
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
