PCC is looking for strong, energized candidates with the desire to develop their knowledge in all aspects of store operations with a commitment to PCC’s triple bottom line. The Assistant Store Director will work with the Store Director and department coordinators to grow the business and lead staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides leadership within the store and serves as a member of the Store Operations Committee (SOC)
    • Creates and nurtures an environment for delivering a consistently excellent customer service experience
    • Works with the Store Director to set the tone for and maintain the highest standards for store conditions
    • Assists with hiring, training, evaluating and supporting staff
    • Coaches, develops and hold staff accountable
    • Becomes a strong schedule writing
    • Contributes to and grows in understanding of the budgeting process and payroll
    • Oversees all health and safety programs and procedures
    • Provides a healthy and safe work environment for staff
    • Embraces the community through personal and staff involvement

    Qualifications

     

    • Demonstrated understanding of PCC store operations
    • 2+ years of previous department management and supervisory experience required
    • Proven ability to lead and mentor staff
    • Innovative thinker with demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions
    • Must have strong communication skills
    • Computer skills required with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Flexible schedule required
    • Willing and able to travel to any PCC location
