• Facilities Maintenance Specialist

    Co-op Wide
    Full Time, 40 hours/week
    Hourly, depending on experience
  • Responsibilities

    • Repairs and maintains the co-op’s physical plant within the limits of available tools and requiring a licensed technician, including but not limited to:
      • Basic emergency refrigeration repair and preventative maintenance
      • Electrical work
      • Plumbing repair and preventative maintenance
      • Carpentry
      • Other general and preventative maintenance as required
    • Completes work according to specified timelines
    • Consolidates store work and travel to use time efficiently
    • Maintains information in WorkManager system on a daily basis
    • Assesses and clearly communicates information about site issues, work orders, store requests and actions taken
    • Has the ability to communicate clearly with store personnel
    • Has the ability to identify and communicate about work that is beyond personal expertise
    • Seeks to increase skills and knowledge as appropriate
    • Understands and uses safe work practices in all aspects of the position
    • Uses safe driving methods and maintains the co-op facilities maintenance vehicle per warranty standards and keeps it clean and organized


    • At least one year of experience with one or more construction related trades
    • Proven ability in building and equipment repair and maintenance
    • Comfortable working on high ladders, lifts and tight spaces
    • Willingness to get dirty and work in varying temperatures
    • Must have excellent manual dexterity
    • Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting up to 70lbs on a regular basis
    • Understands and follows safe work practices
    • Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License, an excellent driving record and able to travel to all PCC locations
    • Available to work a variety of shifts, including regular on call and weekend shifts
    • Has basic computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proven ability to provide excellent and professional customer service
